Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys®: The Progressive International Motorcycle Show Breezes into the Windy City
The nation’s largest and longest running motorcycle show roars into Chicago, Illinois on February 8th, 2012, making its stop at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center. This is the chance for Chicago, Illinois area motorcycle enthusiasts to see all the new models from top brands like BMW, BRP, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Husqvarna, Indian and many others!
There will be numerous motorcycle centric activities and events that will be filling the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center that will make this weekend a very exciting one for all those in attendance. For starters, the folks from the XDL Motorcycle Stunt Show will be demonstrating their competition-themed motorcycle skills throughout the weekend. These electrifying stunts are scheduled to take place Friday at 5:30 and 7:30pm, Saturday at 11am, 2, 4 and 6pm and Sunday at 11am, 1 and 3pm.
Curious as to how hard it is to service a racing bike in the pits?
Well, for the first time ever at the Chicago, Illinois show, motorcycle enthusiasts will be able to participate in an interactive and authentic Daytona 200 pit stop where they compete against each other to get the fastest time. Whoever posts the fastest time by the close of the show will win an all-expenses paid trip to the Daytona 200!
There is something for the whole family at the Chicago IMS; the Strider Adventure Zone for kids will be there as well, offering the little ones a chance to ride Strider bikes on a course designed for especially for younger kids. The MotoGP experience will be there, giving show patrons a chance to be photographed with the latest MotoGP bikes and models. A number of industry celebs like Scott Russell and Ken Hill will be making appearances along with others. Be sure to check out the Progressive Open Road Experience, the many aftermarket vendors and maybe attend a safety seminar to be sure you are prepared to ride safely when the new season arrives.
Perhaps the most exciting event scheduled to take place at the Chicago IMS is the showcasing of two new bikes by American Honda. These new 2014 models have been kept close to the chest by Honda, for obvious reasons. But according to Honda, these two new 2014 models will be the start of a whole new line of models to be revealed in the future. Now, Honda hasn’t said on which day it will decide to make this drastic move but it will be this weekend at the Chicago, Illinois International Motorcycle Show.
Chicago, Illinois is a beautiful city nestled on the shores of Lake Michigan and has plenty of great spots to dine or enjoy your favorite beverage. There are numerous sights and lots of shopping for the times you are taking a break from the show.
