Russ Brown – J&P Cycles feverishly preparing to celebrate their 35th anniversary June 2014.
J&P Cycles is headquartered in the midst of corn country in eastern Iowa; they also host one of the largest annual motorcycle events in the Midwest.
Nestled amongst the fields is the tiny town of Anamosa, Iowa, with a very modest population of just 5,500 people.  Each June the town gathers  around to welcome the world to J&P Cycles Open House Rally and  for a few short days, their population more than quintuples in size as 30,000+ bikers roll into town.
No sooner was the 2013 event completed than all attention eagerly turned toward 2014 and the 35th anniversary celebrations.  Already on the roster for appearances next year are Sons of Anarchy stars Tommy “Chips” Flanagan and Mark “Bobby Elvis” Boone Jr.
The rally regularly attracts attendees from more than 20 different states and J&P is aiming to attract more than 35,000 attendees to honor their 35th year in business.  They are working to secure great entertainment and, naturally, have the best new products in the motorcycling industry on display with more than 100 motorcycle related vendors in attendance.
Initially, the Rally began as a modest Customer Appreciation Day to thank customers for their business throughout the year.  However, as J&P ranks amongst one of the largest aftermarket retailers in the world for Gold Wings, Harley-Davidson, and a myriad of sport bikes, the rally has turned into the largest Midwest motorcycle event outside of Sturgis.
