Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys®: The Sturgis Motorcycle Museum and Hall of Fame.
The Sturgis Motorcycle Museum sits in the heart of Sturgis, South Dakota, on Main Street and is the home to some of the country’s most unique and one-of-a-kind motorcycles, including motorcycles that date back to 1905. The museum is also home to some of the country’s most inspiring motorcycle legends. The Sturgis Motorcycle Museum and Hall of Fame inducts individuals who have made a significant and positive impact on motorcycling into their Hall of Fame and their Freedom Fighter Hall of Fame each year. Motorcycling legends such as Evel Knieval and the Jackpine Gypsies are just a few of the immortal motorcyclists who are honored in these halls.
The Hall of Fame was designed to recognize those motorcyclists, individuals, or groups who have made a significant impact on the motorcycling community and on the history of motorcycling. This helps to carry out the mission of the Museum to “collect, preserve, and interpret the history of motorcycling, honor those who have made a positive and significant impact on the sport and the lifestyle, and pay tribute to the history of the Sturgis Rally.” The inductees are truly those people who have helped to shape and change the sport and lifestyle of motorcycling—for the better. They have been pioneers, visionaries, and freedom fighters and they are the reason we continue to ride.
The Sturgis Motorcycle Museum is the first of its kind to recognize a Freedom Fighters Hall of Fame for those individuals who have made it their mission to protect the rights of all motorcyclists across the country. Through legislation, protests, and safety advocacy, those freedom fighters have all fought to protect our freedom to ride from those who seek to destroy it.
2013 Inductees into the Sturgis Museum Hall of Fame are, our very own motorcycle lawyer Russ Brown, Rick Fairless, Bill Gikling (J.C. “Pappy” Hoel Outstanding Achievement Award), Marjoe Gortner, Lonnie Isam, Sr. and ‘Still’ Ray Fitzgerald (Freedom Fighters Hall of Fame).
This year’s inductees into the Hall of Fame will be honored at a Hall of Fame breakfast during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Tickets are already on sale now for $35 each or $300 for a table of 8 with preferred seating. The breakfast is sponsored by the Sturgis Buffalo Chip, Women Riders Now/Team Diva, and Black Hills Harley-Davidson.
