There are many reasons why the Buffalo Chip in Sturgis, South Dakota is known as the “Legendary” Buffalo Chip. I have been attending the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally for three years now and this year has topped the charts for me in terms of concerts, people and overall fun and I believe it is due to me staying at the Buffalo Chip and participating in many of the events this Legendary destination has to offer.
On Monday August 8th, motorcycle lawyer, Russ Brown from Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys® and BAM, Free Breakdown and Legal Assistance for Motorcyclists, and myself attended the Legends Ride, the largest ride in Sturgis that is put on by the Buffalo Chip. What an event! I am still smiling just thinking about what a great time I had and it is Wed August 10th, two days after the ride.
The Legends Ride was created to raise money for two incredible causes located in the Black Hills, including the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum & Hall of Fame and Black Hills Special Olympics. The Legends Ride begins in historic Deadwood, followed by an incredible ride through the beautiful Black Hills. The ride ends at the Legendary Buffalo Chip where motorcyclists enjoy the best of the Legendary Buffalo Chip including a private reception, live auction and a headliner concert that the ‘Chip’ is famous for.
The Legends Ride has raised more than $150,000 in just three short years and is the premier charity-celebrity event in motorcycling. It sells out every year so I am already dropping hints in Russ’ ear that we need to attend next year!
I have stayed at hotels in the past when I have come to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally; this is my first year staying at the Buffalo Chip and it wont be my last.
Stay tuned and ride safe!
