Why We Ride –  A Documentary Film

A new motorcycling documentary film is now in select theaters throughout the U.S. about people with a desire to dream, discover and explore. Why We Ride is an inspiring celebration of the motorcycling community. The 90-minute film shares the passion of motorcycle riding and shows the camaraderie of the friends and families who ride together.

The documentary explores who the riders are and illustrates how motorcycles represent the milestones of life. Whether it’s a child’s dream come true, a retiree’s return to freedom, a family riding together, or hundreds of choppers winding through the canyons, the bond is the same. The filmmakers invite you to discover the passion of the riders and introduce you to the soul of their machines.

The many racers, riders, pioneers and parents who are part of the sport, tell the story and it weaves its way through generations of motorcyclists who live each day to the fullest on their two-wheeled machines. The refreshing message about the joys of motorcycling, together with state of the art photography, capture the imagination and set the soul in motion.

The production team that came together to make this film represents a powerful combination of Hollywood blockbuster experience and pioneering spirit. Producer James Walker founded Walking West Entertainment and the Walking West Financing Syndicate and assisted with the successful independent distribution of the acclaimed documentary, ONE SIX RIGHT: The Romance of Flying. Bryan H. Carroll, who produced and directed the film, has built an impressive film-making resume working with the likes of James Cameron and Michael Mann

The film was independently financed and no sponsorships were allowed by any group or company in the motorcycle industry during production to ensure the creative integrity of the documentary.

Why We Ride is packing theaters and has enjoyed rave reviews from moviegoers. If you ride or have ever thought of riding, you must see this film. The superbly filmed and produced movie documents the history of bikes, epic rides and riders from all walks of life. Even if you’ve never ridden before, Why We Ride will make you understand why people do, and that once you let a motorcycle into your life, you will never be the same.

The film is scheduled for international release in 2014 and will be available on DVD just in time for the holidays.
